Wow, time is flying by. After a couple of quite months things are really picking up. Today we are with Diana and Jason who are getting married in September at beautiful Cecil Green House in UBC. Today we were so lucky to be able to photograph baby Eden. She was only seven days old, but was still very obliging. She happily posed, and even seemed to look right at the camera when needed. Today we were back at one of our most favourite locations - Van Deusen Gardens. We were dodging the rain and trying to get a nice outdoorsy look and feel. Today was foggy. Yesterday was foggy. Tomorrow will be foggy. There has to be a way out, sunshine is up there somewhere. I only have to get high enough. In this case Cypress Mountain did the trick. Wow!  I just spent the week in a seminar with the legendary Joe Mcnally.  He was in town to teach a course on location lighting.  Needless to say I was all ears and have come away with many new techniques that I look forward to implementing in 2009.  stella and I have also this week enjoyed upgrading our equipment for the new year.  Stay tuned as post many more blogs as we continue experimenting

One of the biggest challenges when shooting a wedding is how to use flash effectively. We have many techniques. Last weekend saw us out in the wonderful surroundings of Abbotsford. This time to document the day of Chelsea and Chris. September was a busy month for us, as well as our normal work, we were invited to cover three campus events put on by Jumpstart Marketing on behalf of Envision Credit Union. Over a period of two weeks our cameras were on site at Douglas College, SFU and Kwantlen in Surrey. Jumpstart over achieved their quota and we got some amazing shots.
