On assignment in Manila in March I was honoured to be asked to document the 75th anniversary of White Cross Orphanage. Photo's from this event appeared in the Life style's in Asia magazine. Without doubt, one of the most rewarding assignments I have completed.

Today I finally received my copy of "Araneta - A love affair with God and Country" why is that important i hear you ask. Could it be because my wife Stella was editor, and I responsible for sifting through many thousands of photos, restoring those that were earmarked for inclusion. The final book is amazing, a great story of life in the Philippines and the story of one of their most famous families.

"This book is the story of Filipinas as seen through the lives of the Aranetas, the Zaragozas, the Lopezes, the Ledesmas and other individuals of the period from the 1800s to the 1970s. This is about their passion for freedom and their love for God and country. This is the story of Filipinas as she astonishingly endured the struggle with Spain, the betrayal of the United States, the ordeal of World War II and the early years of Philippine democracy."

Jumpstart Reference Letter

I am in debt to Tyler Dawson for his kind words.

Dear Mr. Owst:

Re: Envision Campus Marketing Program Photo Shoot

I wanted to thank you once again for all the amazing photos you took at our Envision Credit
Union University Campus Marketing Campaign this fall. Conditions were not ideal on campus
for taking photos such as lightning challenges and privacy restrictions. The fast paced and
dynamic environment required a photographer with a great deal of skill and patience to get just the right shots. In the end, we received many high quality photos that both ourselves and our client will be able to use in our marketing material for years to come. As you know, we opted for the DVD slideshow choreographed by music.

Watching your DVD slideshow of our events was one of my highlights of the entire promotion, as I could not attend all events in person. The DVD really brought the pictures to life.
At Jumpstart we are very selective of the suppliers we endorse. Rarely do I take the time to draft a reference letter, but in your case I know it is very well deserved. Thank you again Stephen, we will be using your services for our next corporate event!

Very Sincerely,

TYLER DAWSON

New web site

Wow! October already, soon be Christmas :o)

Well the big news this month is that Stella and I are excited to announce our brand new web site for the 2008 season. Over the last few years our business has been growing steadily with many satisfied and happy customers, so this year we are going for the big push. To help us on our way we have taken out advertising in several places (see us in the 2008 Wedding Directory), and have purchased a professional web site. We would love to have your feedback and / or referrals ;o) just click the picture below.

September

September was a busy month for us, as well as our normal work, we were invited to cover three campus events put on by Jumpstart Marketing on behalf of Envision Credit Union. Over a period of two weeks our cameras were on site at Douglas College, SFU and Kwantlen in Surrey. Jumpstart over achieved their quota and we got some amazing shots.
